New bookmarks

I prepare Tatting gifts for charity with these bookmarks... but I love doilies so much, that I do some of them , when I am bored with bookmarks !

I wanted to do such a nice bookmark * using SCMR with rings off ring :

Network

Here is a model called "Network" (Marie Konior), a very easy and spectacular Network tatted in DMC's size 20 !

Empress Joséphine

I have done a tatted Edge , called 'Delphinus' (Pascale Provot's pattern) :

The last outside row is decorated with picots Joséphine : 11 half knots formed of the the first half stitch only : not very practical, because the thread twists itself and the work deforms.

I think that 5 double knots are enough for a picot.

Empress Joséphine would certainly agree with me ;-)

Tatting and Netting

At the moment I try these 2 techniques and they really interest me both :

At the top it's embroidered net. I have done a pattern of Maragret Morgan.

Below a little tatted net in white and blue (pattern of Mary Konior ).

But here the tatted net is not rather fine and the contrast with the embroidered net is too important. The next time, I shall take a thread lace for the tatted work. I have to take a finer thread so that the work is more attractive !
